Safety Awareness Training

1 Day course

This course will give you the knowledge and understanding needed to safely operate UAS sub-20kg. This course will enable you to be safety aware for future regulation and have a brief understanding of Air Law, UAV safety and Operations.

The modules covered are:

  • Air Law and Responsibilities
  • UAS Airspace Operating Principles
  • Airmanship and Aviation Safety
  • Human Factors
  • Meteorology
  • Navigation and Charts
  • Aircraft Knowledge
  • Operating Procedures

Completion certificate issued on completion.

Theory Training

2 Day course

To give the student the knowledge and understanding needed to safely operate UAS sub-150kg and subsequently apply for a Permit for Commercial Operations (PfCO).
From studying this course you can expect to be very conversant with Air Law, UAV safety and Operations. Template operations manual included.

The modules covered are:

  • Air Law and Responsibilities
  • UAS Airspace Operating Principles
  • Airmanship and Aviation Safety
  • Human Factors
  • Meteorology
  • Navigation and Charts
  • Aircraft Knowledge
  • Operating Procedures

Certificate issued upon successfully passing the one hour examination.
